How to use the Panel to create a customer

Resellers

In this guide, I will be showing you how you login to the panel and create a new user.

Before we get started you first need to have your credentials to login to the panel, if you do not have this or have forgotten the password to login. Please contact us at support@safedatastorage.co.uk or call us on 01689661030 so we can sort this out for you.

Once you are on the login site, please type in your credentials. If you are stuck then you can use our “Live Chat service” in the bottom right hand corner. This will be here across the panel so anytime you need a technicians help then you can click on this and it will open up a chat with us.

Once you have gotten these credentials, go to the URL:

https://www.onlinedatastorageuk.co.uk/admin/login

Once you have accessed the panel, click on “Create Customer”.

This will be the page you will be greeted with.

First, type in the Login name and password that you want to use to login to the backup client.

Then, type in the Alias name (this will appear under the login name) and select whether the User is a Trial account or a Paid account.

Next, select the Client Type. If the Host machine is a Server OS e.g windows server 2012 then use the business client, if the Host machine is a Non-Server OS e.g Windows 10 then user the Single User client.

You will then be prompted to tick the box and agree to our terms.

Our modules enable you to backup and restore these programs easily. Here is an explanation of what each one does:

Office 365 Exchange: Backs up a mailbox for Office 365 Exchange. If you want to add more mailboxes please add them in the quota.

NAS: Option allows you to backup on a synology nas.

Windows System State: Uses windows backup to backup a system state image. It only backs up important system files.

Microsoft Windows System Backup: Uses windows backup to backup a system image. It backs up the entire operating system disks.

If the backup is backing up in another location and uses another language then you can change the settings here.

Then enter the contact for the customer, this will send email reports of the backup every time it backs up. Make sure to agree to the Terms of Service and then click on Save.

On the second tab, you can enter the customer’s details and add notes about the customer.

An account is now created and you can now login to the backup client using the account you just created.

The email that you set will then be sent a welcome email. The email will contain the download link as well as the username.
